Installing and running the Vantage Space mobile app
"This guide covers how to access the observation app on different devices, preparing for tours, and offline use.
Where to collect observations
The observation app is separate from the main web app at https://my.vantagespace.com, which is used for study setup, team management, and viewing results.
How you access the observation app depends on your device:

Use devices from the last 2–3 years with current OS updates where possible.
Installing on iPhone, iPad, or Android

Open the App Store or Google Play on your device, search for Vantage Space, or use the links above. Tap Get / Install, then sign in with your user credentials.
Using the observation app on Windows mobile devices (e.g. Microsoft Surface)
There is no separate Windows app. Open https://next.vantagespace.com in the device's browser and sign in with your user credentials.
Browser requirements (web app)
The study setup and results web app at https://my.vantagespace.com works in current versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.
Network and syncing
Wi‑Fi or mobile data is required to log in, download study details, and upload observation data.
An active connection is not required while conducting tours — observations are stored on the device and sent when a connection is available. The app syncs approximately every 10 minutes when connected. Check sync status from the app menu.
Offline tours
Once you've signed in, tours can be conducted without an internet connection. Observations upload automatically once a connection is restored. On Windows-based devices take care to not refresh the page without an internet connection.
Troubleshooting
App crashes on iPhone, iPad, or Android: Check for an OS or app update in the App Store / Google Play. Ensure sufficient storage.
Browser issues on Windows: Try a different supported browser or clear your cache, then sign in again at https://next.vantagespace.com.
